 Welcome! These are some of the most common questions people ask when they’re thinking about starting therapy. I’ve kept the answers clear and practical, but if anything feels unclear, or you have a question that isn’t listed here, don’t worry — you can always get in touch via the contact page

Counselling or therapy is a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It’s a place to understand yourself better, notice patterns, and consider ways to live more authentically.


Therapy can support you in:


  • Making sense of challenging emotions
  • Clarifying values and priorities
  • Connecting more fully with yourself
  • Feeling empowered to be your authentic self


Sessions are collaborative and paced by you. I provide an attuned, steady presence and reflections to help you notice patterns, possibilities, and connections. Therapy is a space to explore, reflect, and integrate insights meaningfully.


Yes — I’m fully qualified, registered, and insured as a person-centred therapist. This ensures professional standards, ethical practice, and your safety.


If something you’ve read here resonates with you, we may be well suited to working together. I provide a calm, inclusive, and affirming space where you can explore all parts of yourself. My approach is person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming, supporting clients to engage with themselves authentically and at their own pace.


Your experience matters. You can pause or stop therapy at any time, or discuss concerns with me. I can also support you in finding another therapist who may be a better fit.


The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and explore whether therapy with me feels supportive and how we might work together. 


Standard sessions are 60 minutes long


A session costs £50


Sessions are paid by bank transfer


Please contact me via the contact page, or directly via email at hannahashworththerapy@gmail.com I aim to within 2 working days to all enquires. 


Sessions are held via secure video call. You’ll need a device with a camera, microphone, and stable internet connection. Full instructions are provided before your first session.


Please give 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule
